We started Leaping Thespians because we had to create the plays we wanted to see. Even in this era of same-sex marriage and the LWord, we are still looking for art which holds up a mirror to our lives.

Leaping Thespians is an award-winning woman's theatre company bringing stories of lesbians' lives to anyone who wants to watch. The company debuted in the 1990's in Nelson BC, and now resides in Vancouver. We have also performed in Nanaimo, Kamloops, Sunshine Coast and Prince George.

We want to present original work and nurture emerging talents on stage and behind the scenes. We accept new members for every production. See our Get Involved page to become one of us. Also find out ways you can become a Sponsor.
