We started Leaping Thespians because we had to create the plays we wanted to see. Even in this era of same-sex marriage and the LWord, we are still looking for art which holds up a mirror to our lives.

Leaping Thespians is a woman's theatre company bringing stories of lesbians' lives to Vancouver audiences. The company debuted in Nelson in the 1990's and has performed in Nelson, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kamloops and Prince George..

We want to present original work and nurture emerging talents on stage and behind the scenes. We accept new members for every production. Email us if interested.

We are always interested in reading scripts of at least one hour’s length, where all parts can be played by women.
